One in three Londoners will use a food bank this Christmas. We urgently need your help this holiday season to fight hunger in London, by delivering food for 3 million meals to over 900 local charities for those most in need. No one should go hungry.
Felix volunteer Julia has seen first-hand how Felix food helps those most in need. She says that "December is the busiest time of year" because "we get delivery after delivery."
Julia thinks that Felix food is "quite extraordinary". Really exceptional fish and cuts of meat and "things I hanker for myself at the supermarket."
As Julia knows, the need in London is getting worse and worse, particularly at this time of year. She says: “It’s extremely moving to see a line of people down the street waiting for your arrival".
The Felix Project collects surplus food donations from the UK food industry - working with partners like Ocado, Sainsburys, Fortnum & Masons, and more.
This Christmas, we will rescue enough food for 3 million meals, delivered to over 900 local organisations for people in need – helping over 250,000 Londoners weekly, including families, the elderly, the homeless, refugees and more.
We are proud to keep a high spend efficiency. 81p in every £1 you give spent in preventing food waste and delivering surplus food to charities feeding vulnerable people in London.
