With more Londoners facing hunger than ever before - including 400,00 children - we must act now to rescue surplus food for people in need. Donate now to help Londoners through lockdown.
Every year the commercial food industry generates over 2 million tonnes of edible food waste, while almost 2 million people in London – including 400,000 children – go hungry.
We rescue some of this surplus food, saving it from being wasted. The food is good-quality, safe and nutritious. We deliver it to food banks, community kitchens, schools and other organisations serving London's most in-need communities.
As London's largest food redistribution charity, we have already delivered food for more than 13 million meals since the beginning of lockdown, helping children and families, the homeless, the elderly, people who are shielding, women's refuges, refugees and many more.
We are proud to keep a high spend efficiency. 84p in every £1 you give spent in preventing food waste and delivering surplus food to charities feeding vulnerable people in London.
