With the country moving into a new national lockdown and more Londoners facing hunger than ever before, The Felix Project will expand our biggest food delivery campaign yet in December and continue working in overdrive in 2021 to help families and children, the homeless, the elderly, NHS staff and more.
The UK moving into a national lockdown will create tonnes of food waste from restaurants & bars - all while foodbanks, social kitchens and other organisations serving London´s most vulnerable communities struggle.
After our busiest Christmas to date, Jenni and the rest of our staff and volunteers will continue working tirelessly this January and beyond to rescue some of this good food, sort it and send it out to charities across London when they need help the most. Everyday Jenni helps deliver over 25 tonnes of surplus food. This year, more than ever, London needs the help of extraordinary people like Jenni - and like you.
As London's largest food redistribution charity, we delivered food for more than 21 million meals last year, helping children and families, the homeless, the elderly, people who are shielding, women's refuges and many more. A new lockdown won´t stop us from going above and beyond for people in need in 2021.
We are proud to keep a high spend efficiency. 84p in every £1 you give spent in preventing food waste and delivering surplus food to charities feeding vulnerable people in London.
