About Jason

Jason Atherton, chef and owner of The Social Company, launched his flagship London restaurant, Pollen Street Social in April 2011, which was awarded a coveted Michelin star within six months of opening. Since then The Social Company has grown into a global restaurant group, winning multiple awards and accolades for their contribution to the UK restaurant scene. They now operate seven acclaimed London restaurants, three of which hold Michelin stars, and a further nine international outposts in Shanghai, the Philippines, Doha, St Moritz, Dubai as well as Michelin-starred restaurant The Clocktower in New York. His most recent restaurant to open was The Betterment at The Biltmore, Mayfair, in September 2019. He demonstrates frequently on food shows in the UK and abroad and is a regular guest on Saturday Kitchen and Sunday Brunch. In June 2008, Jason won the third hugely popular series of BBC2’s Great British Menu. 2019 saw the release of Jason’s BBC Two series, The Chef’s Brigade. He lives in London with his wife, Irha and three daughters.
