The COVID-19 outbreak is hitting the poorest, hardest. The Felix Project has never seen such a high demand for food in London. In order to respond to this crisis, we are expanding our operations so that we can reach as many people as possible who are vulnerable and in need of food.
We are rescuing huge quantities of surplus food from wholesalers, suppliers and supermarkets - and delivering it directly to food banks, social kitchens and other organisations serving London´s most vulnerable people. Many of these organisations operate on a financial knife-edge and could not survive without our free food.
We are working with restaurants and charities to deliver freshly cooked meals door-door for people in isolation. We are supplying the London borough emergency hubs with food - these hubs are acting like a 4th emergency service in our capital.
Our food is reaching people in isolation, the elderly, sick, families and children, the homeless, domestic abuse survivors, refugees, and people who simply can't afford food.
A £10 donation made today will rescue and deliver food for 55 meals. Help us #FeedLondon, together.
We are proud to keep a high spend efficiency. 90p in every £1 you give spent in preventing food waste and delivering surplus food to charities feeding vulnerable people in London.
