Donate today to help us fill empty plates this winter

The continued rising cost of food means many working London families simply cannot afford to eat.

  • 1 in 4 working families regularly struggle to afford food for their children
  • Over 182,000 families have less than £3 a day to spend on food
  • 20% of working parents turned to a food bank for the first time this year

The community organisations we work with all say the same thing: the cost-of-living crisis has not gone away and there continues to be a huge increase in demand for food support.

That’s why we’ve launched our 2024 Empty Plate Emergency Appeal to tackle London’s hunger crisis.

We want to raise enough to fill over 1 million empty plates this winter. Your donation will provide nutritious food to those who most need it.

The Impact of Your Generosity

Behind these statistics are real people – families like Zam's (picture below), who rely on the food banks we support.

Zam, her husband, and their two small children have been using the Newham Community Project foodbank since 2021.

Every Friday, this vital lifeline receives deliveries from The Felix Project's East London depot. "I don't know what we would do without the food bank," Zam shares. "They give us food like bread, milk, vegetables – it's our daily bread. It makes a very big difference in our lives." The support extends beyond just food, with essentials like nappies and baby wipes provided too. This assistance saves the family up to £80 per week, allowing them to cover emergencies and essential repairs.

"It makes all the difference and gives us what me and my family need."

Your support doesn't just fill plates – it provides hope and stability to families like Zam's across London.
