The Felix Project is London's largest food redistribution charity. We're fighting hunger in the capital by rescuing good surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and delivering it to over 1,200 charities.
Each week, our incredible Deptford volunteers help us distribute the equivalent of 200,000 meals. In October alone, we delivered 398 tonnes of food (that's around 24 double decker buses!) to local schools, food banks and community organisations.
We have the food to feed our local communities, now we just need you to help us bring it to them.

In our recent survey, 17% of working Londoners said they regularly struggled to afford to feed their child in the past year. That could mean a staggering 220,000 families across the capital. With many Londoners facing the difficult choice between heating and eating, you can be a lifeline for your community.

Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. Full support from day one, with no experience needed.
Sort and pack surplus food for local schools, food banks, and community centres. Sort donations by type and date, packing boxes and loading vans. Morning or afternoon shifts with a full induction provided. This is where we need the most volunteers.
Support with food production in our one-of-a-kind processing unit. Dehydrating, jamming and saucing, blast freezing and decanting all taking place to extend the life of fresh produce. Learn food safety and production skills in these morning shifts.
I’m Suzie, your Deptford Volunteer Manager, and I’d love you to join me in our depot or in the Felix Food Factory.
In the depot you’ll help sort and pack rescued food, load vans, hop in as a co‑driver, and watch those crates head straight to schools and community groups the same day.
In the factory you’ll prep ingredients, portion and label products, keep everything spotless and safe, and help thousands of portions leave on time.
I will show you the ropes, cheer you on, and make sure you feel at home from your first shift. Come help feed our Deptford community with me!
