Good food for good causes

Right now, millions of people in the UK regularly experience hunger. Yet tonnes of surplus fresh food is thrown away every day. Inspired by Felix, we set out to change this. No one should have to miss a meal.

The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold. We deliver this surplus food to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society.

We get fresh produce. It’s like it’s off the farm because the quality of the food is so good and so fresh!

Donna , Resident , Housing for Women

There is great camaraderie in the team and whether I'm out in the van as a co-driver or helping in the warehouse, I finish my shift with a smile on my face.

Barbara Gougoulis , Volunteer

There’s no reason for children to be starving or going hungry with the amount of surplus food that’s out there.

Michelle Dornelly , Children with Voices in Hackney

It’s extremely moving to see a line of people down the street waiting for your arrival. The food is quite extraordinary - stuff I hanker for when I go to the supermarket. Really exceptional fish and extraordinary cuts of meat.

Julia, Felix volunteer

At Ocado Retail, we’re so proud to support The Felix Project which is one of our key charity partners. In 2022, we donated the equivalent of 1 million meals in surplus food items and almost £1 million in cash. The funds went towards various projects such as refurbishing the Enfield depot and purchasing five electric vans with charging points.
