In 2023, The Felix Project delivered food to over 1,100 community organisations across London, including 170 schools. The Felix Kitchen was able to prepare over 1 million nutritious and delicious meals in 2023.
None of this would be possible without the support of our incredible team of volunteers!

Volunteer Opportunities at The Felix Project

Warehouse Assistant Sort rescued surplus food and prepare deliveries for our community organisations
Driver Rescue and deliver food to local community organisations
Office-based roles Support our operation behind the scenes with office and administration tasks
Co-Driver Join one of our drivers out on the road
Kitchen roles Support Felix's Kitchen by preparing and packing meals

You can support Felix by volunteering at one of our Depots at Poplar, Park Royal, Enfield or Deptford. There are a number of volunteer opportunities available, including Warehouse Assistant, Driver, Co-Driver and office support roles.

There are also opportunities to volunteer at The Felix Kitchen, based in Poplar, where you can support with cooking and packing nutritious ready-made meals using surplus food rescued by Felix. These meals are then delivered to community organisations in London - including charities and schools - to support people in need of food relief.

How do I become a volunteer?

The first step on your volunteer journey is to find out more about what we do!

There are 3 different options for you to start your volunteer journey:

  1. Sign up to attend a live online Information Session with one of our Volunteer Managers or;
  2. Email us at [email protected] to attend an in-person Information Session at one of our depots or;
  3. Have a recording of the online Information Session sent to your email (not available for Green Scheme)

1. Attend an Online Information Session

Information sessions are held online via a Microsoft Teams video call with one of our Volunteer Managers. The Information Session is around 30-45 minutes and we'll share with you what we do, why we do it and how you can get involved. Once you register, you will receive an email with a link to your session - if you don't receive the link, please check your spam folder or contact our volunteer team at [email protected]

Next Information Session:
Friday 3rd May, 12noon - 12.45pm

Please sign up by completing the form below:

2. Attend an In-Person Information Session

If you'd rather attend an in-person Information Session at your local depot, please get in touch with our volunteer team. You can meet your local Volunteer Manager, learn more about what we do, and even do a trial shift in the depot!

3. Can't make one of our Information Sessions?

If you can't make one of our online or in-person Information Sessions, you can have a recording of the Information Session sent to your email, along with further information about the next steps. Please note, this option is not available for Green Scheme volunteer opportunities.

I have a visceral loathing of waste so the charity’s mission fits very well with my values. We’re such a mixed bunch in Park Royal from all walks of life, ages, professions, beliefs. People I wouldn’t necessarily get to meet in the normal course of every day life.
